A fresh face!

Hello everybody my name is Lucy and I am a long-ish haired syrian hamster. Mummy and Daddy adopted me from the Pets at home as I became to old to sell. I have been staying with them for the last two months and and am very happy here.

RIP Pong

Unfortunately Pong suffered a prolapse this morning and had to be put to sleep. He had such a strong spirit but we had to end his suffering.

We wish you all the best, since you can now join your little brother Ping by the giant pile of sunflower seeds as you had promised each other. And tell Bobo we say hi too.

We will miss you. X

Happy New Year 2011 looks to be a fantastic one!





During the present wrapping season Pong was given a cardboard tube. He loves his new tunnel and has spent many hours running back and forth in it.

Happy New Year Hamster lovers!

Pong is getting enjoying his new running area but still misses Ping. So we went through some photos of them together. Here they are enjoying ducking and diving through a toothpaste box. Bakes for colourful bedding too!

RIP Ping

Sadly little Ping passed away last night. We think that it was due to his kidneys packing up. He was a cute and energetic hamster always looking for mischief and playing with me.


Here he is on his favourite running wheel, having a slight breather before running his merry marathons.


One of the last pics of us having a race from one end of the box to the other. I think I won this one as Ping forgot to tie his shoelaces together. :D
