Summer Siesta

It's so hot here in the UK that I sleep outside of my wooden hut to allow me to keep cool.  Here I am taking a little afternoon snooze.

How do you keep cool when the weather is warm?

As I've grown older my fur has developed a mottled ginger colouring.  Kind of cool like a tiger don't you think?

Peanut peanut (part 2)

 

So I managed to finally get to the peanut last night, thank you to all of you who emailed in to give me pointers.

 

What peanut? I still don't see one

Hark I smell a peanut, or monkey nut, whatever you call it.  It smells so yummy I simply must have it!

A midnight breakout

Last night I was feeling super strong and pushed the door open to my cage.  I was really excited and jumped down and explore all the nooks and crannies I could find.  About half an hour later, I was getting hungry and was starting to miss my comfy bed. 

Unfortunately had forgotten where my home was so in a panic I found a space behind the the kitchen cupboard and made a makeshift bedding with some kitchen towel.  Suffice to say it wasn't the best nights sleep and I couldn't wait to be rescued in the morning.
 
Have I learnt from my experience?  We shall have to see how long my memory lasts compared to my natural instincts to explore.

Hmmm what's that?

Daddy left the cage door open today, I wonder what is out in the world at large?  Wait did I just spy a very big pile of sunflower seeds...... (scurries off to investigate)

Spring time!

 

Spring is here.  A week ago it was snowy and cold but now the clocks have gone forward, the sun has arrived and daffodils are dotted around the undergrowth.  What a pretty sight.
