Climbing frames

Mummy and Daddy know that I have lots of energy give me obsticles to climb through and explore. They even hide sunflower seeds as treats for me to search out.

Hello my name is Patrick

Hello all, I am a four month old syrian hamster called Patrick.  As you can see from my red eyes I am an Albino.

My fur is predominantly white and I have developed a couple of light brown patches to give me more character as i've aged.

I look forward to telling you about my adventures.

RIP Lucy :(

We are sad to say that a month ago we discovered a large growth in Lucy's right hand cheek pouch and is was so bad that she couldn't even align her front teeth together.  She was such a little angel and tried to hide the pain but we decided to have her put to sleep.

Goodbye Lucy you were the most gentle hamster we were lucky enough to love. X

I just love Rocket, it tastes so bitter and yummy crunchy leaves that I can't resist.  As you can see my head is a blurr with munching motion.

London 2012 Olympics

Wow what a month it has been, I have been following Team GB's successful Olympic campaign.  29 Gold in total and third in the overall standings very proud to be a British hamy at the moment.

I have been waving the patriotic flag as much as I can squeaking the atheletes on!  Wasn't super saturday so inspiring with Jessica Ennis, Greg Rutherford and Mo Farah winning three golds in 45 minutes.  Andy Murray winning gold in the tennis too.

I'm all set for the paralympic which begin on Wednesday.

Searching for snacks

Mummy feeds me lots of food and treats but sometime I feel like going on an adventure to find some of my own.

A comfy bed for the night/afternoon

If you look closely you can see that I have found a piece of sawdust to use as by bedding.  i amd very careful to select the softest wood to curl up in.

Wow after all that hard work I think that it's time for an afternoon snooze.
